As a Christian, prayer is an essential asset in our life of faith. Without it, there is no possible way that we could live an abundant spiritual life in harmony with the Father. It is the ultimate method of communication between you and God that ensures that you are staying in line with the Lord’s will for not only your life, but for your entrepreneurial endeavor as well!

How does this effect your work life? Let me give you a few examples:

1.) Your natural tendencies are to induce your own behaviors and habits. Yet, we can all agree that there is a sinful nature in all of us that continuously tries to fuel those decisions and actions. Prayer, unlike any other form of communication, is the water to put out that “fire”. It allows for God’s power to stream directly in to our very souls to enable us to take back ground from our fleshly desires and to ensure that His will is being achieved.

2.) Prayer is your war time walkie talkie. In times of discouragement and seemingly self-implosion, you need to call in for reinforcements! Through prayer, you are able to cast all of your cares, worries, and big decisions at the feet of a King. (And yes, a King that is much larger than your seemingly “large” business decisions.)

3.) Last but not least, prayer is the ultimate way of expressing your thankfulness for everything that you’ve been blessed with in your endeavor. It is as simple as raising your hands to the sky and crying out the words “Thank You” to God for Him blessing you with the opportunity to change the world for His kingdom.
